Call of Duty: Warzone Bringing Back Floating Loot for Verdansk

Call of Duty: Warzone is set to reintroduce floating loot alongside the return of the Verdansk map on April 3, 2025. Floating loot, a feature from the original Warzone release in March 2020, displays dropped items suspended above the ground, enhancing visibility and accessibility for players. This system allows for quicker identification and collection of weapons, equipment, and other in-game items.

The official Call of Duty UK Twitter account teased this feature’s return on March 22, 2025, by posting an image of floating loot with the caption, “Just how we remember it.” In response to a query from streamer @JaredFPS, the account confirmed the feature’s comeback, stating, “See you on April 3.”

The reintroduction of floating loot is part of a broader effort to recreate the original Verdansk experience, complete with familiar points of interest and gameplay mechanics. Players can anticipate a nostalgic return to the classic Warzone environment, enhanced by the improved loot system.
